PTT, Together with BPVP Sorong and the Shekina Foundation, Develops Human Resources in the Telecommunications Sector in Wamena

PT Palapa Timur Telematika (PTT), in collaboration with the Sorong Vocational and Productivity Training Agency (BPVP) under the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, invited the Shekina Papua Foundation to hold a training activity in Wamena to develop human resources in the telecommunications sector.
The activity opened on Wednesday (May 8, 2024) at the Shekina Foundation Hall in Wamena. The event was attended by Teguh Santoso, Sub-Coordinator of Empowerment at BPVP Sorong, Albert Tommi Yappo, Head of the Shekina Foundation's BLKK, and Widodo Yuli Prasetyo, Data Report and Learning Officer at PTT.
A total of 16 participants, native Indonesians who were ready to work and successfully passed the administrative requirements, were then given the opportunity to participate in 20 days of training from May 13 to June 10, 2024.
The training covered telecommunications technology used in the East Palapa Ring project, such as Radio Technology. Microwave, Fiber Optic inland, Submarine to Power System. Participants are also provided with practical use of Optical Power Meter, Optical Light Source, Optical Domain Time Reflectometer, Splicer, Indoor Installation Simulation and Outdoor Radio Unit to the use of Power System technology. All material was delivered directly by the PTT Field Operations team in Wamena.
