PTT Introduces Palapa Ring East Telecommunications Technology to SMAN 2 Jayapura

Jayapura, Papua | July 28, 2023 Jayapura, July 28, 2023. PT Palapa Timur Telematika (PTT) introduced the telecommunications technology used in the East Palapa Ring project to SMAN 2 Jayapura. This training served as a means of implementing the independent curriculum, allowing students to learn new things according to their talents and interests outside of their regular learning. Fifty participants, all students with a genuine interest in telecommunications, attended the training. The training included explanations of various telecommunications technologies involved in the East Palapa Ring project, such as inland fiber optic, submarine fiber optic, and microwave radio. Participants also practiced connecting fiber optic cables, a new experience for the students of SMAN 2 Jayapura.

It is hoped that this activity will broaden students' knowledge and help them discover their individual interests and talents. "Thank you, PT Palapa Timur Telematika, for visiting SMAN 2 Jayapura and providing training that is certainly very useful for our students," said the principal of SMAN 2 Jayapura.

"This activity provided us with a wealth of information, such as the challenges of telecommunications development in Papua, particularly the East Palapa Ring Project.
