East Palapa Ring Fiber Optic Training at the University of Papua

Manokwari | February 7, 2022 PT Palapa Timur Telematika once again held a sharing session related to education on the East Palapa Ring and practical use of fiber optic equipment, including OTDRs, OPMs, and splicers.

This activity took place in the Faculty of Engineering Hall of the University of Papua (Unipa), Manokwari, on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Eng. Adelhard B. Rehiara, ST, McSE, and the Manokwari Area Manager, Devalino Kusindra, the sharing session was quite popular, as evidenced by the increase in the quota to 160 participants, exceeding the allocated capacity.

The majority of students in attendance were majoring in Informatics Engineering, so this education on East Palapa Ring Fiber Optic is expected to be beneficial in their studies and future careers.

PT Palapa Timur Telematika also offers opportunities for Unipa students interested in participating in a Field Work Program for a period of 3 to 6 months.

It is hoped that through this activity, PT Palapa Timur Telematika can directly contribute to education in the West Papua region.
